Classifying X-ray binaries using only X-ray data

February 01, 2024

, BAAA66 – Annual Meeting of the Argentinian Astronomical Association,

We develop methods to classify X-ray binaries using only X-ray observational data. The study explores how different X-ray properties can be used to distinguish binary populations in nearby galaxies.

Galaxy sizes and compactness during the epoch of reionization

January 01, 2024

, Padova -- Buenos Aires Workshop on Massive Stars and Interacting Binaries,

This work studies the compactness of galaxies in the early Universe during the epoch of reionization. Using cosmological simulations, we explore galaxy compaction as a possible formation channel for extremely compact systems such as the recently observed little red dots.

Evolution of dark matter haloes in CIELO simulations

February 01, 2023

, BAAA64,

This article analyze the dark matter (dm) halo evolution through time. For this study we use a Milky Way like haloes subsample from CIELO (ChemodynamIcal propertiEs of gaLaxies and the cOsmic web) project. This project aims at studying the formation of galaxies in different environments using zoom-ins simulations.
